Boys and Girls teams from ages U8 to U18
What is club soccer?
NSSC has teams competing in the Illowa and IPSL leagues in both fall and spring seasons. Teams play 8 games over a 12-week time frame each season in the greater Quad Cities area. Play against quality soccer teams from Bettendorf, Davenport, Muscatine, Moline, East Moline, Rock Island, Freeport, Sterling and Geneseo. 75% of the games are local with a few occasional trips to these surrounding cities.
I’ve played Dads Club - is that good enough?
Club soccer is a natural progression from Dad’s Club. If you have a good base of skills, love to play the game, and are in decent athletic shape, you’re ready for club soccer. If you have the time and desire, we encourage you to play both Dad’s Club and Club!
Should I tryout?
Yes! There are no obligations from attending a tryout. It is a chance to compare your skills to others that are interested in playing. Tryouts will begin in May 2011 for the Fall 2011 season and the Spring 2012 seasons. Keep an eye on the North Scott Press and the North Scott Soccer Club website
Do I need to make both tryout dates?
We only require you make one date. However, both dates is recommended. Why? If your player had an “off” day, or is “on the bubble”, a second look would help their chances.
Isn’t club soccer about being ultra competitive?
No, it is a chance to improve your game, challenge your abilities and have fun.
The focus is on development and enjoyment of the game.
